Kim Delaney, an American actor best known for her role as Detective Diane Russell on ABC's NYPD Blue series, for which she won the Emmy Award. The most notable role she has played is her performance in All My Children Philly CSI: Miami, Army Wives. Delaney was the sole child of an United Auto Workers executive and his wife, who was a housewife. She grew up within a household that included four brothers. Although she was a child with a aspiration to become journalist, it was not until the time of her high school days that Delaney began to model. After moving from New York City and gaining experiences as a commercial model at New York did she achieve an aspiring career as court reporters. The role she was given was that of an innocent child in the 1981 soap opera All My Children. Delaney's career has been filled with a variety of television shows and dramas. Her career as a professional has been more successful than her private life. She has also experienced two divorces that failed and fought with alcohol addiction. She lost custody of her son in the year 2005.
