Lars was a soldier after his time in school. He completed nine months of military basic service in the Kongelige Livgarde, an infantry regiment of the Danish army. Lars didn't think the military was right for him, so he decided to look for something different and decided to pursue a degree in biology. Anette was employed by the military for one year, returned home from a juggler's course to show Lars how she was able to juggle in just three days. Lars was thrilled and was eager to try it. He dropped out of the college to attend juggling classes. He was taught fire breathing and the art of juggling in this school. He then travelled with two of his classmates across Europe as a touring artist, performing in cities like Paris, Munich and Moscow. He was introduced to a circus for children the following year and began to learn street theatre and children's theater as and pantomime.
